szólj hozzá: Schalke Athletic 2:4 ALL GOALS
Many commentators have concluded that the heart and soul of European football lies in the Europa Cup and those who saw this match will have little to disagree with that statement. Schalke at home at the Veltins got another scintillating display from Raul, who is probably secretly relieved he’s not part of the Real Madrid circus anymore.
The legend’s two goals put Schalke ahead after Fernando Llorente put Bilbao on the board receiving plenty of help from hapless Timo Hildebrand who looked a lot like Lukacz Fabianski. But Bilbao’s party was just getting started as Llorente scored again with a header. Oscar de Marcos scored the winner in the 81st minute and Iker Munian put an exclamation mark with his stoppage time score.
It was everything a match at this level should be. Plenty of skillful, high quality, rapier like football with Bilbao showing their win against Utd was no flash in the pan playing that same high tempo, high energy counterattacking game.
The win puts Bilbao in very good stead for the return at home in San Mames.
