Belgium,and Lukaku in particular ,suffered a horrendous run of bad luck against Slovakia in their opening game. Slovakia scored the only (lucky)goal of the game due to a misplaced pass and the ball coming right to the feet of Ivan Schranz off the rebound.
Lukaku missed a host of chances and was denied not one but two goals– one for offside and the other for a handball during the build up. The good news is that hopefully Belgium, and Lukaku in particular,have used up all their bad luck in this game and will have good fortune in all their remaining fixtures.
