Ghana’s World Cup Anthem

The official Ghana anthem is ‘Faith in the Black Stars’ by a six man group called G-Force.
Morons!
The true, 100% authentic anthem for Ghana has got to be “Jammin Nation” by Rocky Dawuni (or perhaps, “In Ghana”video here).

What is it with the politics of the World Cup that brings out the worst music sanctioned by the soccer bureaucrats from Ghana to England.

    G-FORCE ARE GOOD
GO AN BUY THEIR ALBUM FROM MELCOM INSTEAD OF COMMMENTING LIKE A BITCH WITHOUT KNOWING THE FACTS. ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS IN THE GROUP, AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THEY GOOD!!!

  4. I’ve had the opportunity to sample both tracks and in all honesty, what I can say is: Jammin Nation is a good song in its own right. But can u actually imagine a stadium of 3,000 people chanting it? On the other hand the track by G-Force is called We Go Go! (Ye Be Ko)(not Faith in the Black Stars btw) and regardless of the fact that some of these guys study in England, the track is a true representation of their love, respect and pride in Ghana. You may want to listen to it again. Also, a friend in Ghana just informed me that it is playing all over radio and TV, and people are absolutely LOVING it. What else do you want to achieve from a song that’s achieving hope, inspirationg and faith in the national team. It is a true world cup anthem. WE GO GO!

  5. We Go Go to germany 2006 with a fighting will to bring tha cup back to the Gold Coast..and god willing we will…

  6. Chale, I dey beg. Rocky Duwani…u lost the plot in life u dunna. Long live G-Force…taking over the industry and striving for international recognition. “Jammin Nation” ain’t got a finger on “We Go Go.” G-Force are the real McCoy with beautiful lyrics. They make me proud to be a Ghanian. In fact, I booked my flight on GIA because of G-Force! Peace1.

  7. listen…y u dissin G-Force…dey 10 timez betta dan u’ll eva b so u best wotch yo mouth b4 u talk…WE GO GO to Germany 2006…we go bring the cup to the land of gold…den u’ll b talkin…so stop dissin nd start respectin….ite…1

  8. Thanks for all your “polite” comments. I stand by my post.
G-force is a british-ghanian band, aided by a bunch of desis. The song “We Go Go” is rather weak. I do like it better than the lame official English anthem, but that’s not saying much.
Name calling isn’t going to help your sales. If I were you I’d focus on marketing not trash talking.
    Cheers, and good luck.

  9. I wud like to say that if you think ‘We Go Go’ is not a traditional african anthem for Ghana, and a nice beat then you do not know anytin about music!
    Thank you
