Enrique has handed the baton over to Ernesto Valverde and ridden off into the sunset for now.
The new man on the job has previously managed Villarreal, Valencia and Espanyol apart from spending two years in Greece with Olympiakos. Valverde also played for Barcelona in the late 1980s and will now return to the Camp Nou after a 27-year absence.
Barcelona have slipped from the dizzying heights of the past and are looking a bit mortal these days.Ernesto is given the unenviable task of getting them back to where they were.
