After dazzling all and sundry with a a five goal haul in Goa’s 7 – 2 win over Bengaluru the other day,Ronaldinho has packed his bags and gone back home.
He discovered suddenly that he had been appointed the ambassador of the 2016 Paralympics in his home country.
In a brief video shot after he scored five goals against Bengaluru ,Ronaldinho said it was “unfortunate” he had to leave and wished everyone good luck.
He leaves behind a whole bunch of discontented fans who have now been deprived of the chance of seeing a legend in action in their hometowns – in the remaining games of the tournament.
The fact that another legend,Cafu,has taken Ronaldhinho’s place is small consolation.
The presence of other legends like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Michel Salgado and Hernan Crespo is also just not good enough to fill the Ronaldinho shaped void left behind in the tournament.
