The Ruben Amorim Philosophy

The problem at Man United is that no one has quite managed to fill Fergie’s shoes. In Ruben Amorim they may have found someone who can do the job at last.

His philosophy is a good one ..

“The reason is always the same: it’s about training and how I believe a footballer should behave in life. Every detail matters. If the situation doesn’t change, I won’t change anything either. The same rules apply to every player. If someone does the right things, we can use them in the squad.

Marcus Rashford has to measure up or sit out.

You can see that we are lacking pacey players on the bench. But I would rather include our 63-year-old goalkeeping coach, Jorge Vital, in the squad than a player who doesn’t give his all every single day,”

His philosophy includes instilling in his squad the ability to run up and down and all around the field like “mad dogs” Hence there’s a new addition to the coaching staff – Harry Marra.

Marra has to teach the team how to run.

(Marra has won the World Athletics Coach of the Year Award in 2016 for his work with Ashton Eaton and Brianne Theisen, both Olympic medal-winning athletes.)
