Harry Kane is on fire. He broke 2 records in Bayern’s 8-1 demolition of Mainz. He is the first player to score at least two goals in eight matches during his debut season in the Bundesliga,That record has stood for 30 years, the previous highest being 2 goals in seven games, by Friedhelm Konietzka in 1963-64 and then by Toni Polster in 1993-94.
Kane also became the first player to score four hat-tricks in his first year in the German top-flight, making it two Bundesliga records broken in one match.
All these fiery record breaking feats may help Bayern to give Kane the one thing he hasn’t won yet- that elusive winning trophy. They are 10 points off the top with 10 games in hand.
Kane has so far scored 36 goals in 34 games in all competitions. His previous best was 41 goals in 48 matches in the 2017-18 campaign. He’s on a roll. And on fire.
