Egypt and Senegal have kicked off Afcon 2022 with sub par performances.Egypt was supposed to beat Nigeria but the opposite happened and no one was more surprised than the Nigerians themselves.
Senegal were supposed to walk all over lowly Guinea in their opening game but instead played out such a boring draw that supporters from both teams left the venue with tears(of boredom) streaming down their faces.
And elsewhere on another continent Liverpool is sorely missing the services of their two most talented forwards.
They played out a 0-0 draw against Arsenal in the first round of the League Cup semifinal.
This inspite of the fact that Arsenal were down to 10 men for most of the game.
Not a happy new year for any of these folks so far.
