Manchester City would have been breaking out the champagne and (wildly) celebrating their title win into the small hours of the night – had Manchester United been so kind enough as to lose against Aston Villa after being 1 goal down in the first half.
But they didn’t oblige.
They came back to beat Villa 3-1 and so Manchester City will have to keep the champagne on ice for a bit more.
