This is an open letter to Paul Pogba, one of our favourite players.
Dear Paul,
We don’t know each other, but here is some friendly advice that will serve you well:
- Grow up. Your hairstyles ain’t cool, and they aren’t helping you win games. Focus on what matters, the team, and your performance.
- Attitude. Fix it. You aren’t a baby. Get some ice in your veins. Think Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer.
- Do your talking on the field. Forget social media – no one cares about your dabbing. We just want you to be the player you should be – on the pitch.
- Adidas doesn’t care about you. As soon as your performance drops, you’ll be dropped.
- Be humble. Your head’s getting so big, soon you might not fit through the door. Ever heard of Hakeem Olajuwon? He played in the NBA Finals without even a sip of water.
- Work harder. You’re not that good. And you won’t be unless you put in the work. Cristiano has an ego too, but he’s put in the work. It shows.
- Don’t drop the ball. You’ve been blessed with real talent. Don’t waste it. Remember Robinho.
Ok. That’s enough of the tough love.
This message applies to a few other players as well. Neymar, you listening?
peace,
