Neymar is out of action for three months with a fractured metatarsal or something like that.Not only will he miss the upcoming Champions League game against Real Madrid but he may also not be fit in time for the World Cup.
Which is really bad news for everyone .
There’s a rumour doing the rounds that his Nike boots may have had something to do with his injury – or vice versa.
When playing against Real Madrid in the first leg game Neymar started the match wearing the Nike Mercurial Vapor 360. However after slipping a few times he made a boot switch and went back to wearing his old tried and tested Nike Mercurial Puro Fenomeno boots.
In the game against Marseille where he picked up his injury Neymar was once again wearing the Mercurial Vapor 360s – presumably because Nike had reminded him that he was being paid to wear them.
And he fell.
Hence the rumour that the boots were what caused his downfall.
