Most of the rest of humankind,having staggered through yet another week of life,would have sighed with relief at having got that over with.
Not Ronaldo however.He’s had a most interesting and extraordinary week.
Last Wednesday he became the first player to score in all six Champions League group games in a season when he scored in Real Madrid’s 3 -2 win over poor old Dortmund.
On Thursday he picked up his fifth Ballon d’Or – ruining the week for folks who had been rooting for Messi.

And if that wasn’t enough he scored two more goals when Real Madrid decimated Sevilla 5 – 0 in the La Liga yesterday.
