Portugal needed a win and Ronaldo delivered again.Portuguese coach Fernando Santos started the game with CR on the bench as he had already picked up one yellow card and so was one booking away from a suspension.However when the team did not manage to score without him he brought him on midway through the game.Ronaldo obliged by promptly scoring one goal and providing the assist for the second.Portugal are thus now in second place in their group.A win over group leaders Switzerland in their next game will see them book a berth for the Russian World Cup on account of superior goal difference.
