Bob Bradley, first American coach in the EPL lasted 85 days during which he oversaw Swansea playing 11 games- out of which they won only two.
Talking to Talksport about his sacking he said the following things among other things
“I don’t think it’s the correct decision. I believe in my work and I certainly knew that I was going into a difficult situation and I also understand that when you go in the clock’s already ticking, so it’s not like you’re expecting all sorts of time. The discussions we had always included the work that needed to be done in January – we had talked about players.I’m frustrated because I feel like every place I’ve been, I’ve been able to put my stamp on the team in terms of the mentality and the tactics.”
He simply did not get enough time to make a change in Swansea’s fortunes.Uphill tasks require a bit more patience and perserverance to get sorted out.Plus there was that whole thing about being an American in a strange land.
Bradley must’ve felt the same thing that Sting felt when he went to New York – just the other way around.
