Arsene Wenger had been holding his breath for awhile now because his star striker Sanchez was to play in Chile’s World Cup Qualifier against Uruguay after suffering a low grade tear near his right hamstring a week ago.
He can breathe again.
Sanchez pulled off a masterful display for his country.He scored a brilliant brace very early in the game and was then subbed off before he could do any further damage to his hamstrings.
Uruguay had taken an early lead with a brilliant goal with a bit of help from their own star striker Suarez.He provided a fantastic assist for Edinson Cavani to give them the first goal.
But Suarez did not have a good game and even missed a penalty later on.
Chile won the game 3-1 and stay in the hunt for a place in the sun in Russia in 2018.
And Wenger will have his star striker back in one piece for the big game against United on saturday.
