Costa Rica beat USA 4 – 0 on Tuesday and Klinsmann’s eleven are in last place with zero points in the Hexagonal round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
USA is in danger of not qualifying for the first time since 1986.However there are still plenty of matches to be played but Klinsmann seems to have lost his touch.
Apart from being a legend in his time he had much success with the German national team, which he helped rebuild after a rough stretch in the early 2000s. He was coach of the German team in 2004, and led them to third place at the 2006 World Cup.
However all that is ancient history now and the US team he has created is mediocre to say the least.
There is a growing chorus saying Klinsmann’s time is up and he should go before things get worse.
