Spain dominated the first half and Italy were pretty much outplayed.They were just lucky that Spain could not score even after getting a host of chances.In the second half,Buffon made a terrible error.He rushed out to clear the ball and missed it entirely.Spain were gifted a goal.However that’s as far as they got. Luck,which had been favouring Italy throughout the game,saw them getting a penalty towards the end – which Daniele De Rossi duly converted.
