Antonio Conte’s unbeaten record as Chelsea manager was ended by Liverpool when they beat them 2-1 at Stamford Bridge yesterday.First half goals from Dejan Lovren and Henderson saw Liverpool go up 2 – 0 at half time.
Henderson’s goal was a pretty spectacular long range strike- curling over all of Thibaut Courtois outstretched lanky 1.9 metre frame to go into the far corner of the net.
And Conte will be worried because Chelsea’s defence at the far post went missing when Dejan Lovren scored the first goal earlier in the first half. There were at least three unmarked Liverpool players with no blue shirts anywhere near them.
Costa pulled one back for Chelsea in round 2 but Liverpool held out for the win.
