Chelsea were almost put to the sword by the Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup.
Two goals from Michy Batshuayi and another from Victor Moses in the first half should have been enough.
But Bristol Rovers fought back.A towering header from Peter Hartley brought the deficit back to two at half‑time.
A penalty in the second half brought the score to 3- 2 and suddenly Chelsea were under pressure.
However they held out to take the game 3 – 2.
For a visiting team from League 1 to score two goals against Chelsea in their home ground was no mean feat.
