The Arsenal striker had just gotten back in February after more than nine months on the sideline with a ligament injury on the left knee and was on the ascent with five goals including a stoppage time stunner against Leicester City. He limped off this weekend in the match against City after stretching out to tackle Bacary Sagna which noticeably twisted his right knee on the lateral side.
The bad news is he has a damaged meniscus which might require surgery. He’s definitely out for this summer’s Euro and possibly longer. For Arsenal, yet another injury setback in a series afflicting the squad. It’s almost automatic now.

His competition could be former Spurs winger Andros Townshend
oh Welbeck!
