France and Portugal should be very pleased to see the way things have turned out for them in Groups A and F respectively.
The Republic of Ireland have landed in the Group of Death – E – which incidentally is also where a certain Zlatan is also lurking – which makes it even more deadly.
Group B has the fireworks department – with England and Wales thrown together to produce the necessary sparks.
Wales and England were drawn together in Group B—
Germany have Poland as their toughest opponents in Group C and defending champs Spain will have to battle their way out of Group D.
Both Blatter and Platini were not allowed to be present at the ceremony. They have been relegated to the sin bin till their ban is over and so they were therefore conspicuous by their absence.
