Mourinho with his back to the wall rubbished a report that on top of everything else that had gone wrong this season there was now a mutiny brewing in the Chelsea ranks.
And he will surely be cheered up to see Chelsea cruise to victory for the first time this season with a 2- 0 home win against Aston Villa.
I don’t really think there is a mutiny coming at Chelsea.
There does seem something going on for Mourinho to be reacting so much though. Obviously he is in the limelight because of who he is and his team being last seasons champions and of course, his bad start to this season. Not only his bad start but several of his stars failure to perform to last seasons high standards too.
As he said most of the first team are behind him so it must be one or perhaps two of the fringe players who are stirring things up in the background. I’m sure he will sort things out. Can’t wait to see who it or who they are though!
Also I think ‘the special one’ is finding it hard to be ‘the ordinary one’ at the moment and it’s not what he’s used to and perhaps it’s rubbing off on his players.
I read last week that Chelsea would have to pay him £37 million if they sack him. I may be wrong but I don’t think this will happen yet but of course Abramovich has done similar before and £37 million to him is like a fiver to most of us so it’s another fascinating thing to look out for. Also he has given his support to Jose and we all know what that can mean!
