Criminal investigation catches up with Blatter

Now is a good time for Blatter to start quoting “Invicticus” to himself”
Swiss authorities have opened criminal proceedings against Sepp Blatter.Investigations centre on a payment of two million Swiss francs (£1.35m) made to Platini in 2011.
Platini was questioned “as a person asked to provide information” in connection with claims that he received a “disloyal payment” from Blatter.
A disloyal payment means a payment which was not in the best interests of FIFA.

Officials from Switzerland’s office of the attorney general interrogated Blatter at length. They searched his office, took boxes of documents and informed him that he was under criminal investigation.
In the unlikely case that Blatter will emerge clean and unblemished from the investigation it will be the end of the tunnel for him- but it sure looks that it’s more like the end of the road for wily old Sepp.
