Referee Gabriel Murta was officiating over an amateur game between Brumadinho and Amantes da Bola in Brazil.He was kicked and punched by an Amantes da Bola player who had been red carded.The referee turned out to have in his pockets,a gun in addition to the red and yellow cards.
Which he then drew.
He must have been anticipating a rough game.
Fortunately his linesman persuaded him not to use the gun in anger.
The ref in question also happens to be a policeman when he’s not a referee- hence the gun.
He has to now go for a psychological assessment and has possibly refereed his last game.
It’s also possible that the next bunch of criminals that fall foul of Garbiel Murta might get shown a red card instead of a gun.
