Liverpool approached this match with some trepidation. Their memories still fresh off that 6-1 drubbing and for most part they huffed and puffed with new signing Christian Benteke doing very little of note. Roberto Firmino was a bit more impressive. James Milner was his usual industrious self while Nathaniel Clyne was a bustling presence down the right.
