Chelsea suffer shock home defeat

Falcao is the only Chelsea player who will be in a bit of a cheerful mood.He did finally manage to score an EPL goal at last.
Chelsea were at the receiving end of a composed, skilful, physically dominant visiting team who executed their game plan – pressing Chelsea in the centre, outrunning them on the flanks – to perfection in a well deserved victory.
Mourinho is curiously off colour this season. That poor handling of the medical staff incident seems made the special one look very ordinary for a change.
Chelsea are now standing at 13th in the table.

One comment on “Chelsea suffer shock home defeat
  1. Since Sir Alex called it a day I think the top flight has a strange feel to it.
For me things have gone a bit stale.
Money in my opinion has something to do with that.
I preferred football 30 and 40 years ago.
50 million for ordinary players and ridiculous greed when it comes to wages makes me want to switch off.
When provisional clubs find a player he immediately listens to his agent and wants a move. No loyalty.
Way of the world is the retort of the Sky subscribers.
Yes it is but my point is the product is not getting better. Top clubs continually refusing to breed their own youngsters is to me rather depressing.
Name any top player who plays for Chelsea who came through the youth ranks. Jose calls himself the special one and I do rate him as a manager but he sulks when he is not rewarded in the transfer market.
Subs John Terry to make a point.
It is all about instant success due to the financial rewards. No clubs have conveyor belts of young talent and no manager is given the time to build a team. When you have done that successfully on a limited budget, working with what you have and maximizing the potential then you are a good manager. Bleating to the press that the board do not back you in the transfer market is sometimes relevant but it is becoming the norm now when a team is out of form.
Players now complain of tiredness and playing 2 games in a week. Not too tired to get straight down the night club after the game though.
    Fans are being mugged off.
Sky high ticket prices and Raheem Sterling barely out of his teens holding a club like Liverpool to ransom.
How long will he be at City? Soccer mercenary. If I was a City fan I would not want him. He is everything that is wrong with the modern game. I salute Brendan Rogers for his professionalism in not revealing his true feelings on the matter.
We now have Sky and Thierry Henry telling us this is the best league in the world.
Depends what you mean by the best.
An English club will not win the Champions League this year and the clubs in the lower half of the league are no better than their counterparts in the Spanish and German top flights. The national team is also ordinary at best.
Despite all that I think it is a nap City and Chelsea will finish as the top 2.
Russian Billionaires and even wealthier Middle Eastern Arabs will see to that.
Watford for third place anyone ?
