Eni Aluko of the Chelsea ladies mesmerized the Notts County ladies in the first ever Women’s FA Cup final to be played at Wembley. It was Aluko with a typical surging run who set up PFA player’s player of the year Ji So Yun to poke the ball past Carly Telford for the only goal of the match. 31,000 fans showed up for this historic event, a wonderful acknowledgment of the great strides made by the women’s game and building on the success of the English squad finishing third in the World Cup.
