Huan Mata came on as a sub in the second half and finally scored a goal.Crystal Palace defended stoutly.Manchester United had possession for most of the game. Palace did not threaten United’s tottering makeshift defence very much.In fact they hardly got the ball.United kept batting the ball around the field for most of the game till Mata finally scored. Di Maria showed some quicksilver moves but his shooting was poor.
