Balotelli finally did some long awaited Super Mario stuff for Liverpool.
They were looking to be on the brink of a demoralising exit from the Captital Once Cupa and a third consecutive home game without a goal.
86 minutes of the game against Swansea had ticked tocked by and Swansea were ahead through a Marvin Emnes goal.
That’s when Super Mario finally scored a long awaited goal off an exquisite cross from the right wing from Fabio Borini.
Liverpool went on to win 2 -1 and Balotelli tweeted “finally” and Brendan Rodgers has got some breathing space.
However Mario being Mario could not be content by just scoring a goal and going off quietly into the night.
He ended the day by having a scrap with Jonjo Shelvey
