Mario Balotelli’s tweet after Man Utd’s Leicester City demise sparked off some ugly stuff
Racism as Mario Balotelli is finding out is as ugly in England as its in Italy or anywhere else on the planet. And speaking truth to power like his Tweet after Man Utd crumbled so spectacularly against Leicester City unleashed an outpouring of some of the vilest, racist abuse amongst thin skinned Utd fans. No matter every public persona reacted similarly though less evocatively than Balotelli to Utd’s destruction. He was singled out because he’s black and thus, less worthy. An easy scapegoat. Now, Merseyside police are investigating and Kick It Out has also gotten involved.
Utd fans, take it on the chin. If you want to lay the blame, lay it on Ed Woodward, Louis Van Gaal, the non-existent Utd defense, especially Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling.
