In news that shocked no one, it was revealed the Sepp Blatter’s FIFA has once again showed it’s corrupt face to the public.
A Guardian story reveals that police in Rio de Janeiro discovered a Fifa official was involved in a US$100m ticket scandal:
the ticketing ring aimed to make up to $US100m, around £60m, by illegally re-selling tickets and that the group had operated at previous World Cups.
The suspected ringleader is an Algerian man who was previously staying at the Copacabana Palace hotel, where all the Fifa top executives are staying. Police say they have identified someone higher up the chain in FIFA. Hmm, who could that be?
