Alive and Kicking is a registered charity that operates as a social enterprise.They manufactures footballs for children, with each ball having a health-related message printed on it to try and raise awareness about issues such as the spread of AIDs and malaria.
Alive & Kicking Kenya’s 2011 road show visited four zones around the sugar town of Mumias in western Kenya. Funded by the Safraricom Foundation and in partnership with Sporting Chance, the road show bus was officially flagged off from the Safaricom House on May 6th, and by the time it returned on June 12th over 40 schools had taken part in football coaching, tournaments, and HIV/AIDS education.
