April 2003:
One-game ban for tugging Lucas Castroman’s shirt to delay a throw in he was about to take in a Porto Lazio UEFA cup semifinal game.
March 2005:
Two-game ban
For accusing referee Anders Frisk of conversing with Frank Rijkaard after Chelsea lost 2 – 0 to Barcelona in the Champion’s League round of 16.
February 2010:
Three-game ban
‘Handcuffs’ gesture after Inter Milan were reduced to nine men after defenders Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba were dismissed in a home game against Sampdoria.
November 2010:
Two-game ban
After a victory 5 -1 over Murcia in the Copa del Rey he used “disrespectful vocabulary” against referee Jose Luis Paradas Romero.
November 2010:
