It’s been 10 years since the 17th of September 2000 when a 17 13 year old called Lionel Messi touched down at Barcelona’s El Prat airport for a trial. He scored five goals and hit the crossbar twice in his first display and hasn’t looked back since.
PS: As Dave has rightly pointed – Leo Messi was born on the 24th of June 1987- So that would put him at 13 years old at the time and not 17 at the time.
Just makes it even more impressive.
