Champions League playoffs: Spurs meet Young Boys

Spurs make their first entry into Champions League since the modern format began although they made the European Champion Clubs’ Cup semi-finals in 1960-61. Young Boys go back even further as semi-finalists in 1958-59.
Ledley King, the injury prone Spurs captain will not be making the trip to Stade de Suisse which has artificial surface. Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley, Jonathan Woodgate, and Jamie O’Hara have also been sidelined due to injuries.
Scott Sutter, Young Boys central defender was born in the Enfield section of London and grew up a Spurs fan.
“It was amazing for me when I was watching the draw with my dad and the first two names out were us and Tottenham,” Sutter said. “I jumped up and punched the air.”
He might have to wait till the second leg listed as doubtful to start with an injury.
