Marcus Tulio Tanaka comes flying in at top speed as Drogba gets the ball and his knee clatters into the striker’s elbow spinning him around. Drogba lies on the field writhing in pain.
After two minutes Drogba exits the pitch holding his arm gingerly in a very guarded position. Looks very serious.
Tanaka now comes into the World Cup with a very dubious reputation of scoring own goals and probably ending the World Cup dreams of one of the biggest names in football.

Pretty disappointed to see another star of the game go out and miss the World Cup. South Africa is out of some big names, Essein, Beckham, Ronaldinho and now Drogba.
Still going to be a great World Cup and can’t wait for it to start.
