The Spanish national team with Vicente Del Bosque was at hand to see their junior counterparts take on England in a losing effort.
The English were able to overcome the Spanish brand of short, sharp passes as the game progressed even after going down a goal. They showed some nice bits of passing themselves and it is all down to the fact that John Peacock, the U17 coach has been consciously changing the England game to resemble more the Spanish one. Short passing game with English qualities of grit and physicality- sounds like a recipe for future success.
