“We are at a stage where we’re developing players,” Wenger said. “[Theo] Walcott is 22; [Nicklas] Bendtner is 22; [Samir] Nasri, [Abou] Diaby and Denílson are 22 or 23. They’ve shown some great qualities and they’ll get stronger every year. We have to add something, for sure, but we have some time to think about that.”
I am sure every Gunner fan has some idea of what to add. But Wenger has shown himself to be a contrarian so don’t get our hopes up. What I think he did well was to try and bolster team spirit. We still have the Premiership title to play for and next week we meet Spurs, in a crucial derby. A win and Chelsea and Man Utd dropping points and we are right back in the swing.
