Blatter defends the insane amount of money spent on Ronaldo’s transfer saying…
“We are in a very sensitive market nowadays, because there is an economic crisis. But in football, if we are in a good market, it means that football is a good product, not just to buy or sell but a product that gives people what they want, which is emotions. This is the game of the people and they need stars. Okay, it is a lot of money, but he is performing.”
A convoluted Blatterism which really doesn’t make much sense – but that is generally the way with most things he says almost all of the time.
Here’s a better way to spend money.
Football for Good is a non-profit social business being developed by the founders of the Steve Nash Foundation and Athletes for Africa, with the aim to bring community-centered academy football to regions that have been ravaged by war.Check it out here..
Steve Nash says.“My dream is Football for Good, an initiative to bring community-centered academy football to children in war affected regions. With just a $5 donation, you can make my dream a reality and earn a chance to join me at the Showdown in Chinatown, June 24 in New York City.”
Somehow that makes a lot more sense than Blatter’s blather.
