Barca does not need fat Frank

A bad writer and an even worse player. Chelsea has carried him on their back for so long it seems that on the rare occasion that he does anything out of the ordinary it needs to be celebrated. He was a disaster in the World Cup when all he looked like he wanted to do was blast the ball into the stratosphere. Lampard loves to have a go at goal but he is one of the least savvy footballers in the world.
This man is out of his mind if he thinks that he is worth 135,000 pounds a week and Chelsea is out of their mind if they accept that valuation. The only reason he is successful is that he is in Chelsea, where the pecking order is Drogba, Essien, Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Joe Cole (when fit), Claude Makelele (when fit), and even John Obi Mikel, and then possibly Lampard. In a conservative club like Chelsea, where the attack goes through Drogba, having someone score 20 goals after 992 attempts at goal is a boon. It is not however a sign of footballing efficiency or talent, it just means that once in a while just as in the myriad groups of four Englishmen getting together to play rock music, great groups like The Who, The Clash, and Led Zep, are born.
Barca seems to have taken their losing the Liga title the wrong way if rebuilding means getting someone like Lampard. He is nowhere in the caliber of Deco and Xavi, who are unlike each other in their style. I disagree that these two players are redundant.

  1. During the 2006 World Cup, Lampard has the most shots in the tourney (26) and zero goals. Ouch.
