I am a really big Steven Gerrard fan, but those clips shown were awesome! Ballack’s aerial pressence is much more than Stevie’s.
Stevie’s better from distance. Ballack played for a long time for Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, both of which may never be classed as “great” leagues.
Chavski have made LOTS of changes to their squad. I personally dont think its good for morale, esp if Lampard is dropped!

He can cross, shoot, pass long, shot, beat players, and tackle, can almost play any position on the field and is much more versatile than Ballack. When Ballack can play defensive midfield, Right fullback, attacking midifled, and right wing all at world class level, come back and we will have a debate.

It’s a good thing we’re not judging greatness based on World Cup performances…both Ballack and Gerrard were horrendous for their sides. I thought it was a travesty that Ballack made the All-Cup side…he was useless for Germany.
