Some of them actually distract the goalkeeper long enough for the goal to be scored.
Apparently Muller’s “slip and fall” against Algeria yesterday was all part of a devilishly clever free kick routine that unfortunately did not quite come off.Muller was supposed to pretend to slip,then nip behind the wall,collect a free kick that would be scooped over the wall and then score while the goalkeeper was still chuckling about how he had slipped and fallen.Very good plan.Did not come off.
